Hey to everyone, I am Rocco and 6 months ago purchased my first (not last) 1994 325IC. I dont know why I didnt do it years ago. This convertible is a blast to drive. I do have one problem though, a knocking coming from the front of the motor under the valve cover, heard closer by a stethascope. Car has 175,000 and running strong though. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thankyou very much. ciao Rocco

Welcome to The 'Fest Rocco! A knocking coming from under the valve cover might just be a sticky valve lifter. The biggest concern would be if it was emanating from deeper within the internals (e.g. a connecting rod). Best bet would be to have it checked out by a qualified BMW technician.

Do you have any pics of your convertible? What color is it?

Welcome to Bimmerfest! :hi:

Yes, I would love to see some pics... I love those E36 cabrios! I almost bought one in 1993... but I was in school so I put it off and didn't end up getting one until 10 years later. I still think the E36 is gorgeous...
