View Full Version : Which wheels fit an e-46 325?

I'm looking for a set of used 17" wheels for snows for my newly purchased 325iT.
And while scouring the classifieds, I've figured out that E-46 wheels will fit, staggered M3 wheels won't fit, but I'm left wondering about all the other.
Will wheels from an e-36 or e-90 fit? What about 5 series wheels?
Wheels from a Z3? Anything else that rolls on 17s?
Any other thoughts about wheels for snows?
Thanks in advance
Allen

You have an E46, so E46 wheels will fit, except for the rears from an E46 M3.

Pretty much all E36 and E46 wheels are interchangable; that would include Z3 wheels (again, M roadsters/coupes are an exception.)

I think that E46 and Z4 wheels are also interchangable.

5 series wheels do not fit -- offset and hub fit are different. That still leaves you with lots of 17-inch BMW OE choices.

I guess the key parameters are:
(1) 5 bolts on a 120mm circle (all recent-vintage BMWs)
(2) Offset in the 40-47 mm range
(3) Compatible hub

And some of the aftermarket wheels from Tire Rack or other sellers are very inexpensive, as well....$200 or less per wheel.
