Put some 24's or 26's on there, that should make it look pretty good.

18's will fit w/o problmes (previous owner put some god-awful blingy ones on), but they almost looked too big.

18's u might have to roll the fenders. No you wouldn't. If one chooses a correct size the outer edges of the tires will be in the same exact place as the 17s so the fenders are not at any more risk than they'd be with 17s. If the fenders need rolling, then the tire size is wrong for the car. It's that simple.

As noted above, 18's will reduce acceleration and will increase braking distances. Also, 18" tires are way more expensive than 17s, and you have a LOT more choices of brand and size in the 17" world. There is no way in hell i'd run 18s on an E36. I'd be embarassed actually :bigpimp:

I concur. 18's are heavier, worse tire selection, are more expensive and create a host of other issues based on size and overall weight.

17's are the way to go.

As i stated u might have to...i never said that you need to. I have never witness anyone putting 18's on before. And i can agree on selection of tires. 17's are much better for selection then 18's and better priced. We have always done 17's on our cars.

I have 17"s and if i lower the car i have to roll my fenders. im guessing its just the tire size really. But a guy i know put 18"s on his and he had some moderate rubbing.
