okay. you know how you check your fault codes without the tool right? by turning the car on, but not starting it, pump the pedal five times. then the check engine light will start blinking the code, sorta like morse code. how do you read that? mine just blinks once fast, then once slow, then once fast agin, then slow. over and over. thats it. how do you read that?:dunno:

i know that site. but it still doesnt really answer my question. the light blinks fast once then it lights up for about a second. then a short flash and a sec long flash again. it doesn't say anything about that. it flashes like this . - . -

If you have the bentley manul look at section 100-9

Other wise turn the car on, and fully depressing the gas pedal 5 tims to the floor within 5secs. The check engine light will then remain on for 5secs, blink off, come on for 2.5 seconds, then go off for 2.5 seconds. at this point the fault coeds will begin to flash then right it down..then go to the sheet that you have telling you what codes are what. for example for the oxygen sensor it will blink once then twice, twice, once which is code 1221

Why don't you take it to an autozone. They read codes there for free.
