Hi:
I'm getting new tires next week at costco - will they be able to do the alignment on a BMW too or should I go to a specialist? I'm not sure what the procedure is on the BMW, and I want to make sure it's done right.
Thanks,
Bobby

in my city, a lot of local shops refuse to do an alignment on bmws, so you have two options, either go to the dealer and pay lots of money, or go to a european mechanic, or someone you know for sure will do the job right!

First thing I wanna ask is why do you think you need an alignment? Just getting new tires won't require it, if that's what you're wondering. If the shop uses a Hunter laser alignment machine, and can provide you with a printout, I'd say go for it. Printouts are very important- they tell you exactly what was wrong, and what was done.

I just got the car, and the MD inspector failed it on the two rear tires & indicated that he thought it could use an alignment. The new set of tires is in, so I'll ask the Costco guys if they can check it at least. Otherwise, I'll be taking it to a local BMW indy shop for a once over when the oil needs to be done, so they can check it out then.
Thanks,
Bobby
