Can anyone tell me what is the widest tire I can safely put on the standard 225 x 50 x 17" rims for a 2007 525i?
I am interested in adding wider tires than the standard 225s once my stock tires are worn.
Thank you in advanced.

Hi Gary,
Thank you for your answers. So just to be sure I am understanding, I can install 245/45/17 tires on my standard 17' rims (non-sport package)?

Sweet! Thanks for your knowledge! Just checked with the bme brochure and it says 7.5 wide for standard non sport pkg rims :)
