View Full Version : Paint overspray (house windows)

Anyone ever tried to use detailing clay and lub to remove house paint overspray on house windows?

Any suggestions for a homemade (cheaper) lub for the house windows?

I tired using KLASSE AIO last summer....... didn't work at all.

Use some paint thinner on the windows, just be sure to not get it on the house. I'd hose it off after getting all the paint off the windows.

wax should take it right off. You can use any car war and apply it, let it dry, then take it off .repeat this for a few times and it should come clean. Wax is fine to use on windows, I use it all the time on cars I detail at a dealership.

How about using a razor blade?

Huummmmmm... hadn't thought of a razor blade. Do you suppose the 5 blade model would work better than just a simple blade?

The overspray is very fine and really can only be seen when the sun is directly behind, hadn't considered this aggressive procedure.

I'll give it a whirl............

I am doing the same thing now after having repainted the interior of my house and am using a single razor blade scraper with a long, screwdriver like handle. Works great.

Good luck!
