[sorry if this was discussed before]

Hi All,

I got a 99 M3 with 90k+ miles on it. I'm looking for a shop to do the regular mantainance on the car (ie replace shock mounts, serpentine belt, etc etc).

Any recommendations for a good shop? Preferably in South Bay. Also how much would something like this set me back? Im planning to keep this car for a while.

Thanks!

Campbell European Motors....

Owners are Greg and Judy Mohan - they are very nice and won't try to sell you things you don't need.

along with Campbell European, I would also recommend Bavaiarian Motorsport in Milpitas. It's pretty much a BMW - exclusive shop. Ramon is a very good mechanic who will also not sell you anything you don't need.

German Motor Specialists in Sunnyvale (http://local.yahoo.com/details?id=21341721&) is also good. I know a number of folks who trust them and their work.

If you want to stay in the city, Phaedrus has always been good to me. They're on Jackson between Polk and Van Ness.

Any BMW performance shop? I'm planning on upgrading suspension (shocks/springs). I asked Phaedrus, but techs were kinda shying away from doing work other than OEM. I would bring car to Edge in Dublin, but it's too far. Any other suggestions around SF or San Mateo area?

Well, back in the south bay again, there's Extreme Performance in San Jose. Navid is another good guy and they do free GGC track inspections for GGC members

LOTS of accessories there and his prices are generally as good as anywhere else around.
