Sunday, August 6 Twin Cities Meet, Hidden Falls, St. Paul

It's time for a follow-up meet at the same place as last, the beautiful and spacious Hidden Falls Park along the grand Mississippi River in St. Paul, on Sunday, August 6, 2006. Show-up time 9:00 AM and goes 'til whenever.

Our last event this past Spring had a great turnout with nearly 30 BMW's representing all models. Given that at this event a lot of us pretty much got acquainted, and many of us have had smaller meets since then, as well as meets regularly on the weekends, we would like to expand upon this and have some fun while we are at it.

I can provide (rent) a professional volleyball net and bring a BBQ grill for a cookout, and perhaps we can get people to sign up to bring some food and drinks. Other ideas encouraged and welcomed!

Lets make this a big event and fun!

I have secured the Pavillion! It's OURS from 7:30 AM (ahem) to 2:30 PM. So those who get there early get the great parking spots inside the pavillion parking lot - there are 24 of them assuming the dumpster is not in the way.

I am new the the twin cities and I am just now reading about the meet this past weekend. I wish I had read it before. Anyway, how was it and when is the next one?

Regrets that you missed the event. I think we had overall between 35 - 45 cars and perhaps 70-80 people attend. It was a great event and the second this year that we've organized. This forum hasn't been too active with the group but I'd also like to invite you to visit a few others if for nothing else to see the pictures of the event. There's also a video shoot that was done and one currently in production that will show this weekend. I have to be careful with referring to other forums so I'll PM you. Hope to see you at future events.

I live south of the Twin Cities about an hour, but in a few weeks I'm moving up to College... anything exciting happening before then? I would love to hang out with some fellow Bimmer fanatics! :drive: Well hope to hear from you. :thumbup:

We kick it around every Friday/Saturday night around Midway on University Ave. but nothing organized. Typically guys hang out from 8:30 - 11:00 PM or so. We hope to have another meet/drive later this year, but for sure 2 more next year so keep an eye out. Sorry you missed it.
