hey guys just wanting to know wats involved in an engine conversion from the m40 to the m50 or m52 2.5L engine. the previous owner of my car ran it with no oil and now the engine is dead. iv tracked town replacement engines and they are roughly the same price for the m40 and m50 so now i just need to work out what things wont be compatible and will need replacing such as radiator wiring loom etc. does anyone know how hard this conversion will be and what is involved. etc. i havnt done an engine conversion before. any help is greately appreciated.
also do i need to purchase a half cut m50 or could i simply purchase the engine and swap some of the bits and pieces across because the price of a half cut is 3 times the price of the engine and i was thinking an aftermarket computer and wiring may be a cheaper option. cheers guys
