Chrome trim around windows

I tried cleaning the trim with a metal polish, But that didn't work very well. any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

You want to use a chemical based polish that will clean it and remove minor scratches....I did mine on the outside and that little strip on the inside, here is what I suggest

Another option is covering it up with black tape for a cheapo shadowline trim conversion. I did mine a few months ago, and you still can't tell it's tape.
