Temple, TX - BMW Ultimate Drive 8/10/06

Let's try to get all the TX Festers together for a good cause and lots of fun. Even though you can only register for two cars, you'll pretty much get to drive everything all day long. Typically there are free t-shirts, cookies, and refreshments. The event is on a Thursday, but I'm sure we can all be creative in getting out of work.

Registration for SE TX does not start until next week but I am concerned. When you look at the map there are no scheduled stops for Houston. :eeps: The only one showing for SE TX is in Beumont. Bryan is not there either. :confused:

Not me. I'm usually found on 620, between 2222 and 71, or on 71 between 620 and Southwest Parkway.

Temple is one of those "drive thru" cities that has a GREAT Texas Road House and in Belton right next door.......one of the best BBQ places in the state of Texas.

I'm sure you could turn that into an 2 1/2 hour drive. No problem until you get on Highway 36, the home of DPS. :( That is a road well traveled by me since one of my childhood buddies lives in Gatesville, 30 mi. NW of Temple.

Though I would love to join y'all unfortunately I am out of PTO so I cannot take time off.:cry:

I'm in, Fri, Aug 18 in Beaumont at 10 am 330i and 11 am 550i. I'm bringing my two kids (from CA) school hasn't started, and 2 exchange students (Gemany and Hungary) absent = sick, too. Maybe they can drive also.

Edit: I may have obligations 8/18, so I also registered at Garlyn Shelton BMW in Bryan on 8/15, at 10:00 am just in case.
