VF is still working on it. They had a 645Ci SC kit that they displayed on Bimmerfest. I guess the challenge right now for them is getting all of the kits CARB certified and the software being completed.
They just finalized the E46 M3 kit and are doing installs to make instructions.
I'll get in touch with VF tomorrow about the E60 kits.

That'd be appreciated. I look forward to seeing the numbers on the kit (both price and performance) when they're finalised.

I also spoke with a friend at VF and was told that the 545/550 SC kit should be ready sometime in March of 2007. Pricing has not yet been determined but he says I'll be one of the first 550's with the kit. Total HP should be around 480-590 HP. It's going to be fun sneaking up on some M5s =P

Hi I was wondering if anyone had heard of these superchargers and what you think of putting this on my bmw e36 2.8.cabrio. I have not heard of this but they say they are one of the first on the market with low end torque. I am from England but living in Spain and would love to hear your feed back. I have got use to the speed and I need more speed but reliability cause they are alot of cars which are just as quick and quicker golf 32, honda civic type r etc I would name more but my girlfriend threw my car mags away .Everybody got peugot 206 over here in spain and some seem pretty quick. Dont know if they would beat me as I am not into street racing but its always good to know you have it there. Many thanks and keep up the good work

This one only comes with 1 year cover but some come with 3 , isn't that saying something?
How much to send to spain. Keep me up with to date with any offers.
I was also reading that superchargers are over priced and under powered , get a turbo.

The link is not good. I don't know of any good turbo kits that are sold in Europe. Your best bet is to contact ESSTuning.Com and see what they have to offer.

Power down low in the rpms is availble with a "twin screw" SC. The Dinan and VF units are centriful units which work better in the higher rpm range.
Whipple is one of the main SC mfgrs. They make the SC unit itself and sell to folks that build a full package around the unit to sell to customers like us.
Twin screw units are true compressors so you have instant power at all rpms. The centriful units are like fans. You have to get them wound up to make power.

Turbos build power in the mid to upper rpm range because they depend on exhaust gas pressure to spin up the turbine wheel. At low rpms there isn't much pressure to spin the turbine. This creates turbo lag which is a gap in the time you press on the acclerator and when you get power.
Turbos are great for top end power because they require only a small amount of the motor's energy to spin them.
