Hey guys,

Whats the best way you've found to get sap off of A) your windows and B) your paint. I know some people use different approaches as they'd be more rough on their windows then actual paint.

Thanks in advance,
Marek

Hot water and a soft cotton towel. Keep refreshing the water, it should be as hot as you can touch.

Mineral Spirits will take it off any part of the car and not hurt it at all

You can get this at any home supply store

While washing the car use some on a rag wipe on the area and let stand a minute not allowing it to dry then with soapy water wash off and rinse

This is not the right product to take off sap...Klasse is a chemical based cleaner polish...it will take the sap off the top but really all its doing is breaking it down and smearing it all over the car...You want to use something that will dissolve it and then wash that off...mineral spirits is that type of product will not harm the paint, glass, plastic or anything on the car

Weird as it may sound.... lighter fluid :yikes: has worked for me in the past.... it has naptha in it and it cuts the sap quickly.

I have not tried it on any of my black bimmers...... but it worked great on an older Mazda that I used to have.
