side marker switch????

Hey guys, Im new to the BMW world as I just sold my NSX and picked up a 2000 528i sport. I already put some 19" Breyton Magics and Halo projectors, but I have a question regarding the side markers. I got a pair of the clear ones and would like to replace the amber one that are currently on the car. The question is... How the hell do you get the damn things off!!!???

a) Remove turn signal by sliding lens assembly forward and carefully pulling assembly out of fender at rear
b) While holding lens, turn bulb socket to release
