Broken Door Handle

My driverside door handle for the outside of the car stopped working...It lifts up but has no resistance and doesn't do anything. How hard would this be to replace because the shop wants around $300 for it plus parts. Anyone had to do this themselves?

lmao do it your self sounds like a small clip has bust u can get a new handle at ur local scrap yard prob cost u ***163;2 and u can fix it your self if u aint scared of screws not that hard realy good luck

i would take the door panel off and look inside to see if the metal rod that goes to the handle came off or the little clip busted...
