Spare tire goes nuts with DSC?

Does your DSC engage frequently with the spare tire mounted?

I have mine on the left rear position. Turn to the right moderately, and the DSC kicks in to slow the left rear wheel. The first time it happened, the DSC engaged so abruptly that I thought the tire was rubbing the wheel well. So, I'm driving one of my other cars until I can get the shredded full-size tire replaced tomorrow.

I note in the manual that BMW warns the driver to keep DSC engaged when you have the spare mounted.

What's stupid is that the quick reference guide contradicts with the owner's manual on this. The owner's manual states to leave DSC on or else you'll die a painful death, while the reference guide says you should turn it off. If I were in your situation, I would shut DSC off and just drive carefully. Or better yet, use a different car if possible.
