2001 BMW 325CI Convertible with MANUAL 5-SPEED TRANSMISSION. This is a great car and I am truly sad I have to part with it – some unexpected life/employment changes have caused me to have to look for another vehicle. Never driven in winters, originally came from down south. I’m really going to miss this car. I'm asking $17,999.

The vehicle has approximately 94,200 miles on the odometer. I’ve even done all of the standard maintenance for this car of this age and mileage. The clutch was just replaced last week! In addition the rear shocks and shock mounts have been replaced, front control arms, cooling systems flushed, thermostat replaced, AC/alternator belts replaced, brake system flushed, engine tuned & plugs replaced, and air filter changed. Honestly, this car drives as tight and sporty as a new one now -- especially with the suspension work and new clutch. I've never actually driven a car with a new clutch, it's pretty crazy!

It has both the premium and sport packages. The AC works just fine and is ICE COLD. Fully automatic top, Xenons.

The exterior of the car is quite good for the age and mileage, no major dents or damage. There are the according few door dings and marks, but the paint is still very deep and glossy. There are two areas of issue on the rear bumper cover – one the previous owner apparently tried to cover up a mark with some touch up paint and went way overboard. It’s not anything that bad, but it is noticeable. There are some decent scuffs and touchups on the lower left side of the rear bumper as well. There is also a key scratch on the passenger side by some lovely individual, but again, nothing that bad. These markings are in the photos listed and on my private website with many more photos.

The interior is in good shape, but the previous owner I purchased it from definitely didn’t clean it very often. So, I’ve worked hard to make it nice again. The driver seat has decent wear on the outside/entrance part – again that’s shown in my photos. The passenger seat does not have the same wear. The front seatbacks and rear seats have a couple scuffs and marks on them. The rear interior panels also have some marks on them. The dash is in great shape, no problem there. There are some hairline ‘cracks’ in the wood grain trim – again in the photos. There are a few kick marks on the doors as you can see in the photos, nothing major. The convertible top is in great shape and works flawlessly – no leaks or problems. Some of the interior liner stitching on the top did get pinched, but I recently took it over to an auto upholstery place and they fixed it nicely – but that has nothing to do with the top working or staying dry.

Again, I’m trying to be totally honest. No car is perfect and I know you don’t expect it to necessarily be perfect – you just want honesty so you can make a good decision. Hopefully this car will match up with someone out there. You guys on this site (and several others) have helped me a ton with this car and I'm really proud that I was able to fix any issues myself, with no dealer or mechanics.

I'm located in Madison, Wisconsin -- any interested parties should email to JVMITCHE at UWALUMNI.COM and we can talk. Many high-res pictures available at http://www.geocities.com/jvmitche
