Another Meet

Hi everybody,
I would like to know if we, Great Lakes region (and everyone else of course), could have another meet somewhere near/or in Chicago. I saw a couple of posts for previous meets, but unfortunately it was already late to attend them. Please let me know what you think. It is nice out yet, however not for long.

I just checked the weather.com for whole month of October in looks OK for Chicago climate: lows around 50's and highs around 67. Also, low chance of rain: mostly on and off.

Just bought a 530i putting mods on this week, would love to meet some people with a passion for deutscheland autowerks, if someone gives me two weeks notice can request off. Just say when......

lets call up a Hooters and see if they will mark off 12 parking places in the front...they do it all the time for car shows..biker rallies etc.. because they know we will eat and have a few brews, good for busniess also brings people from off the streets to check out all the sweet rides

I am good for weekends so as long as everyone can decide on a time and place I am game. Not sure where everyone else would be coming from but I am in Beloit WI wich is on the border of ill about 1 hour 1/2 from chitown but always up for a decent ride as long as it not 5 hours away

How about Hooters at Schaumberg off of Golf road and I-90...I think that is cetntral enough for most pople and close to a major highway....I can call them and see if they will save some parking spots or something, they may want a guaruntee of people

Just got off the phone with Hooters in Schaumberg, they said 2-5 PM is best, on weekends the office parking lot next to there parking lot is empty and can be used by the public, he said plenty of parking and would love our business

Hey count me in, I'll see if I could get my cousin to come with his X5. Seems like you guys are going to meet up at Hooters in Schaumburg. You should start up a list of people who are planning on going. We had a meet back in September as well. Turn out was not as good as we had planned. By the way I live by the town of Cicero, so if any of you are heading out down 290, let me know and maybe we could meet up and cruise down to Hooters.

We got there too, at/or about 2:40 PM. Saw 2 cars on the parking lot. I went in and ask few people if they were from this forum, but to no avail. So we just had lunch and left around 4:00 PM.:dunno:

Yeah we were sitting at the bar drinking and talking, we got there at 2:30 on the dot, we stayed for an hour plus. I am joing the local BMWCCA chapter, I honestly think that would be the best way to get things like these organized, plus you get discounts on parts, there is road racing and autoXing events too.

What do you all think about having a meet at Great Lakes during the Import Wars show/race day? We could I know a lot of people that go to those shows, and the judges but we could hang off to the side and do our own thing.

They have a HUGE field out there where we can all meet and hang with the cars. We could bring some food and grille out and just hang for the day.

I'm not against meeting at a park somewhere though.

You guys in Ill have all those "Preserves" up here we have parks. We could do it somewhere close to the Wisconsin/Ill border.

Let me know I'll help organize this. Anyone have some days/time of the year in mind? I'm thinking sometime in may would be nice.
