The title says it all. I have no experience with car detailing and I don't want to start off the wrong step by picking up a crappy orbital. Tools are everything!!!

Your not going to find a new one for that price
costaltools.com has Porter Cables about the best deal on the net..comes with the backing plates and in some cases, foam pads.

Go PC 7336 SP from Lowes $109.00 no waiting because they stock it and dont go cheap buy the good tools, paint repair is expensive.

Depends what you want it for. If it's just waxing, I have no complaints with the Ryobi I picked up at Home Depot for $19.95. But it's no good for serious paint work.

Trust me, save your money and get the PC. Spending $50 on another orbital is throwing $50 out the window unless you're only going to use it to wax. You said it yourself, you don't want to start off on the wrong foot - get the PC from Lowes, $99 with the 10% off coupon

The P/C is also a damn good sander. Get the tool and pads from Coastal Tool. Great service and good prices.
