Can I even sell my M3 spot?

How do people sell their spots? Do you have to figure something out w/ the sales guy first? i have a #1 spot at a dealer and may just do ED for a 335i instead. is it likely i can get somethign for it/ seems like buying the car and flipping would be a bad idea too given the tax hit...

I too have a #1 spot at MSRP in writing, but they are not letting me sell my spot.
The only way to get around it is if you order the car and then sell it to someone. But it all depends on the dealer.
Some dealers will let you give away your spot to someone.
Im probably not going to get the m3 until the 2nd year anyways so I might just get my deposit back.
