I just finished washing (318is) the engine and the car start for a few minutes then it cuts off, tried to start again and it did for a few seconds then died again and now it only cranks but not firing up.
So, I tried other things like swap Ignition pack & AFM from my friend’s car but nothing happened.

did you powerwash under the rear wheel arch? you maybe have got water on the battery circuit mate
as it is probably warm in Oz at the moment, open the bonnet and boot and let her dry out

Yeah I know on early models there was a problem with water getting into the ECU. Even if theres the smallest amount of debris in the cowl it will prevent proper draining and water gets to the ECU and causes starting/running probelms. I've heard of using some WD-40 on this before. Also, you may have gotten some water down past the coil.
