Bluetooth - and Bluetooth Headset

Is there anyway to easily switch between the car bluetooth and a bluetooth headset while in the car....is there anyway to manually diconnect the bluetooth from the car...or is that only controlled by the phone....my phone seems to only let me delete the connection and then I would have to pair again. (motorola KRZR Verizon) Like I would like to have the option of answering with the car bluetooth OR my bluetooth headset....sometimes you have someone in the car or roof open, etc...and want more privacy that headset offers????
