Didn't get to drive it - only gawk. One thing's for sure, I love Imola Red. I hadn't seen it in person in a long time.

My dealer (you know, the one that screwed me over if you know me) informed me that they just got a new IR/IR SMG coupe on the lot and I decided to pop by at night and take a look. I might stop by tomorrow while it's still light. I've got first dibs on it if I want it (which I don't think I do).

I'm not sure if IR/IR is a really great combo. There's no contrast. I had originally ordered an IR/Black, which I think goes better. I like the black interiors. Though IR would look great in a dark color for sure. I've also had myself set on getting a 6-speed (to the point that I just ordered a UUC short-shifter kit - I've already bought several small mods that are sitting here).

So, if I don't take the car, there's a pretty sweet car here for sale. I can't say whether they'd charge you over MSRP, but if their past is any indication, they will. They'll sell it to me for MSRP because they burned me, but seeing how a LOT of dealers are selling at MSRP anyway these days, that's not a very big consolation I think.

The car has:
Power Seat Package
Power Moonroof
Width Adjustable Seats w/Lumbar
Bi-Xenons
HK
SMG Transmission

It's very nice! Oh, and I almost forgot - they have two LSB Cabs there as well, too. I don't know if they're sold or not.

If anyone wants to know where they are, email me.

Your next post will be "guess what I just bought" and with an updated sig to boot

I have IR/Bl for the same reason, I needed mor contrast. So far I am very happy with the choice (picked it up in April 2001). You will love the combo!

I nearly impulse bought a IR/IR M3 (not SMG) a month or so ago. I walked into a dealer in Jersey and it was just sitting there waiting for me unspoken for. I didn't think I'd like that combo, but when I saw it, I just fell in love with it.

I was sitting in the car trying to figure out in my head how I could shoehorn the car into my budget. Then again, impulse buying a $50K toy is probably not a great idea.

Don't ride or drive in it, because I guarantee that after you do you will be hooked.:thumb: :thumb:

SMG is slicker than snot;) ;)

Imola is my second choice, after Carbon Black. I think Imola is the best color for showing the M'3 lines and curves, but CB is the gnarliest color because of the mystical qualities of the metallic paint. It's black at night, bluish-black in sunlight and displays a twinge of purple in twi-light conditions.

I like a car that exhibits multiple personalities (I resemble that remark), which is the exact reason why I went with Steel Gray for my cab.

I also think IR/IR is just a bit too much, and that IR/Black would be the optimum choice in this configuration.

But if you do decide to take that SMG car for a spin, like Cowboy stated, be prepared to change your sig shortly thereafter!:D

Well, I didn't get to drive it, but I did play with the SMG paddles/shifter.

I didn't buy it either, so it's fair game now.

Oh, one of the LSB cabs that was there is definitely for sale and loaded, with an SMG transmission.

What color interior did it have? It wasn't Cinammon by chance, was it?

My local dealer just had a guy buy one of those the other day, and man, is that a dysfunctional combo or what:yikes: :yikes:

LSB by itself is an 'unusual' color, but add the orangey cinammon and you've got something that looks like it came out of a bag of M&M's:)

No, I think it was black or gray, nothing too shocking.

But I couldn't sit in the IR/IR M3 too long, too much red!
