We are new to snow weather in Boulder, CO where it snows one day and sun comes shining through the next day. Having moved from CA we have no idea what to expect. We currently have all weather tires on 18" rims. Suggestions?

I use Dunlop WinterSport M2 as dedicated tires for winter on 18" rims. Big difference in road handling on snow.

IMO, it depends on how much you plan on skiing. If you aren't headed into the mountains on bad weather days, you'll be fine with all-seasons. However, if you don't want to get stuck at the Eisenhower or Vail pass, you may need snows if the weather is bad.
