I'll be doing a ED pick up of a 335i sport on Nov. 23rd at Munich. I'll be there from Nov. 23rd to Dec 3rd driving the car around.
Given that it's pretty much early winter there, which itinerary would be better?:
- Munich, Prague, Dresden,Berlin, and maybe Amsterdam
or
- Munich, Berlin, Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam
or
- major cities of northern Italy (maybe even down to Florence).
I define "better" as:
- seeing more sights
- less chance of bad weather (such as snow, but even rain)
- lower cost to live (lodging/food) - I'm not at all picky about my accomodations (I think even a hostel is fine) but need my car to be safe.
Notes/Questions:
- I've never been around Europe at all (except for England when I was 8).
- I'm going to Europe for vacation again within the next two years (I can go to the places I missed this time then).
- I'd like to do as much as I can, given the time, and would like to minimize cost.
- I've heard the Alps are hard to cross in winter to get to Northern Italy.
Is this correct? I don't want to chance being stuck up in the mountains during a blizzard.
Thank you,
Raj
