X5 here with staggered, directional 19" Diamaris wheels/tires.
Because of negative camber the inside is cupping as expected - so more wear inside than on the outside.
Because of staggered set up moving from back to front is not an option.
Question - can the rear tires be flipped on the rim so that the previous inner wall is now facing outside? By then exchanging the rear wheels with the re-mounted tires you will maintain the correct direction, right?
I know that the tires will not look 'pretty' when placed outside in ....but is there any structural, safety or other reason for not doing this?
(Assume of course that there is still plenty of thread and no visible flaws on the inside of the tire)
