Just bought a 2004 325Cic. Need to add an interface for my Ipod. Why not buy the factory Ipod interface from the dealer? What is this DICE unit & why use this model?

Plenty of threads comparing the OEM and the DICE, quick summary :

The BMW one does not show you any ID3 text and you are limmited to 5 specially named playlists plus the entire iPod.

However there is another option, the Intravee www.intravention.co.uk.

The BMW unit also disables the iPod display and controls.

The DICE does not.

Better sound quality for the DICE, IPOD battery charged continuously, better controls, scrolling text, the list goes on....

The DICE kit is the best kit for your BMW - peroid. This is the kit you need:

DICE iPod Integration Kit for BMW
http://www.europeanautosource.com/product_info.php?products_id=268

The DICE iPod Kit will integrate perfectly with your e46 and offer steering wheel control as well as ID3 text and charging of your iPod. Full CD Quality can be expected after installation.

The kit will come with everything needed w/ the docking cable. The iPod can be safely stored away in the glove compartment for 100% stealth installation and accessed completely from the steering wheel controls.

The DICE comes with a 15-foot cable length to reach anywhere in the vehicle you like. We even have tutorials at the following link:

Let me know if you have any further questions, I'm more than happy to assist.

Thanks. I didn't see those listed.

So quick question. Are you able to switch back and forth from radio to ipod fairly easily, or do you have to disconnect the ipod?

No reason to disconnect the iPod, simply press the MODE button to select AM/FM/CD or iPod mode.

Hi,
I have a 2001 BMW 330 ci. The stereo is the business unit with CD Changer in the trunk. Can you advise what parts I would need to integrate my 5g IPOD into the factory stereo.

Thanks.

The same kit is also used for your MY01 330ci:

This is everything you need to get your 5G video iPod connected!

Has anyone installed a DICE on their 335i coupe with Logic 7 and no Nav? I'm slightly hesitant about tearing up the interior without a better idea of how easy/difficult the installation is.

Thanks

DICE is not compatible with the MOST vehicles (e90), only BMW offers an iPod integration kit at this time:
