Last night, I parked my car at a busy spot in town. It was a semi alley way street parking but still very exposed. I was parked at the front end of that street to quickly get into the shops next to it to buy some things. No cars in front of mine but cars behind. Perhaps 10 mintues, at most.

I came out of the shops. What did I see? A man leaning against at my left hand side door and window area posing for a photo while his friend/whatever was taking a photo of him. I approached him and politely said: "Excuse me sir, you are welcome to stand next to the car but not lean against it". He smiled and nodded his head. I stepped aside to let them finish the shoot. Then the photographer, who was wearing a big :) on his face, told me his was a tourist from Malaysia visiting, complimented my car thoroughly; said the 6 series was his "dream car" and that the same in his country would cost over a million Malaysian Ringgits (currency; spelling :dunno: ).

So much for owning an understated coupe. If it isn't the unwashed handprints, it's the masses now leaning all over it. :tsk:

He should have had a lil more respect for it then, since it costs a million "Ringgits" in his country.
Look , but don't touch. Damn Tourists! lol.

IMHO, that's pretty disrespectful. I would even see it as a threat, especially since you said he was LEANING on the car. I would take it pretty seriously but thats just me.

Absolutely no reason to be taking pictures of your personal property. And absolutely no reason to be leaning on it. I wouldnt buy a 50k car to be some sort of showpiece for people to lean on, but I know you can't really control it.

Interesting story. Good thing you kept your cool.

I parked my car downtown last weekend and came back to see a lot of fingerprints on the windows and surrounding parts, as if people were leaning in to look inside. So hard to clean a jet black car!

I once caught a valet guy leaning on my car....it really ticked me off but i kept my cool. Later that night i ended up watching Boyz N the Hood. This gave me the sudden impulse and urge to pull a drive by on the establishment to let 'em know who's boss. I love lamp.

I had a guy.. cut me off... i toot my horn real quick... then he slams his breaks gets out and says lets fight... i said what are you 8 years old dude.. get back in your car... then he said over and over... ALL you's got it that car... thats all, all you gots is that car, then i said. What do you wanna do suck my D##K, then he got pissed saw a cop slow down and just got in his POS car.

earlier that very same day.. i hot girl in a Porsche speed up roll down her window and say nice car then turned away that second!!

I've also had someone pretend to pee on it, while he was trying to impress his girfriend and make her laugh i guess.

And i've also had people looking under it. and sticking their hands on it. Greezy faces trying to look in the car.

There are highs and lows with this car... sometimes i can't handle them i'm scared i'm going to end up killing someone for "a car"
