Last night, I parked my car at a busy spot in town. It was a semi alley way street parking but still very exposed. I was parked at the front end of that street to quickly get into the shops next to it to buy some things. No cars in front of mine but cars behind. Perhaps 10 mintues, at most.
I came out of the shops. What did I see? A man leaning against at my left hand side door and window area posing for a photo while his friend/whatever was taking a photo of him. I approached him and politely said: "Excuse me sir, you are welcome to stand next to the car but not lean against it". He smiled and nodded his head. I stepped aside to let them finish the shoot. Then the photographer, who was wearing a big :) on his face, told me his was a tourist from Malaysia visiting, complimented my car thoroughly; said the 6 series was his "dream car" and that the same in his country would cost over a million Malaysian Ringgits (currency; spelling :dunno: ).
So much for owning an understated coupe. If it isn't the unwashed handprints, it's the masses now leaning all over it. :tsk:
