Damage from lift?

Hey guys. Tried to have my winter rims installed (E46 wheels on a E90 & they didn't fit) The tire shop put the car on the lift but did not use the rubber jack locations under the car. Can they damage the car by not using the rubber mounts?

You run the risk of cracking your bottom skirts if they don't use the jackpads or bending something. Why didn't they do it?????

What wheels did you try to put on that didn't fit??

E46 17in 68M wheels with Blizzaks snow tires. The E90 brake are too large. I was in the waiting area and decided to go in the shop to see how the wheels fit when I noticed they didn't use the jackpads.
