I plan to soon buy 5 Michelin Pilot Sport AS tires 245-45-ZR17 from Tire Rack (I presently have Pilot Sport AS 235-45-ZR17 installed).
I need an answer to two different questions.

My first question is:
I own a 2001 525i Sport Suspension Package BMW (no mods). Recently I had my front and rear alignment done at an independent shop.
I noticed later that the vehicle alignment report stated:
For "BMW, 2001, 5 Series (E39), Sedan Standard Suspension 535i/540i".
Is this the same alignment specifications for my 2001 525i Sport Suspension Package or not?

Second question is:
Is it better to install Michelin Pilot Sport AS tires 245-45-ZR17 (one width size higher) or stick with the present tire size Michelin Pilot Sport AS 235-45-ZR17 that came with the car? I bought it certified at 38,000. It now has 60,000 and is still under certification.

So far I have over 22000 miles on the tires. I drive moderate to spirited. However, when given the chance I drive a bit on the spirited side.
Both my front and rear wheels are stock at 8X17 that came on the car when new.

Thank you,
Loren
