Anyone familiar with the SCC Super Z-6 Cable chains? They're supposed to be ultra low profile (requiring only 0.25" of clearance).
It snows maybe once a year, and lightly at that, where I live. Since I don't do any regular commuting in snow, I feel winter tires would be a waste of $$. I'm looking to buy these cable chains for the occasional trip to the mountains. I'm NOT looking to use my car in extreme conditions or when a huge dump of snow is expected :) My tires are Michelin Pilot sport A/S (M+S), and these are plenty good for the wet Seattle winters.
I'm looking for opinions from someone who has actually used the product.
Thanks!
