There I was, just taking a little nighttime joy ride through the canyons (PCH N -> Kanaan-Dume -> Mulholland Hwy -> Topanga Canyon -> 101 S).

Cruising a straightaway at double the speed limit as I was approaching the fun, sharp, descending twisties on Mulholland Hwy., just west of Kanaan-Dume, I hear a beep. "Hmmm, I'm not doing 100 yet," I say to myself, remembering where I have my speed warning beep set. "Naaah, couldn't be... could it?"

Sure enough. 37 F. In SoCal!

Why the speed warning? Set through NAV?

Yes, set through Nav. Just set so I know when I'm *really* getting carried away, or in danger of being literally carried away by CHP. :D

Mine would be beeping constantly on road trips with a 100mph limit :D

Sustained 100mph around LA is pretty tough most places without being a danger on the freeway.

I still have mine set to 80. I'm used to it, but I think Scott wanted to rip out my NAV by the end of the DV run. :lmao:

Bah! That's not cold. I might have started thinking about closing my sunroof at that temp. ;)

Dr. Bimmer - brrrr!

Yes, the blood thins out on the Left Coast; I a native-born Philadelphian, one who could scrape the ice off the windshield with the best of them, shovel snow and wait for over an hour in a blizzard for a SEPTA bus (you Philadelphians know what I mean) am now shivering in 45 degrees on a cold Southern California night!

P.S: You'll need to get some gasoline - your image shows your tank close to empty!

;)
