Alright, my number 3 coilpack was bloated and cracked-I replaced it with a known good coil, car ran great for 2 minutes, then that cylinder again cut out. It doesnt have any spark. Changed the coil again, no go. I pulled the DME out, physically inspected the board, but found no burnt sections or loose pins. Anyone know what could be causing my no fire? The coil pack will get hot if left connected too! Thanks, Mike

Did you just change one?

This is a stab in the dark, an educated stab, but a stab all the same. Your last comment about the coil getting hot would lead me to believe that we have an open wire circuit somewhere. The coil is not charging and discharging like it should, rather it is on a constant draw/discharge state causing it to go into thermal overload and break down internally.

I changed just one-yes. Then, I changed 3 of them-no change. Mike

I will go ahead and buy the full set ONCE the car is running-no point in killing more coils until then.

Best I can suggest is a conductivity test to see what ohm reading you are getting. I agree with the comment that something is fried. I would then see what voltage I am getting as well. Measuring from the connector to the coil for voltage and connector and the input from the DME side for the ohm reading....
