M6 Hardtop Convertible

I have heard rumors that they'll have a hardtop for 2008. Does anyone know more about the plans?

I haven't heard anything, neighbor.:wave: If BMW announces any info, we'll certainly keep you posted. This is the first year for the vert, so I'd think it'd be in the next gen 6.

I thought BMW chose to stick to soft tops for weight-saving purposes. Why would they change that routine all of a sudden? :confused:

NO. A hardtop vert would require a complete redesign. 2008 is a minor facelift refresh. BMW changes something every year it seems like.

The 2011 model redesign? Maybe? Who knows? :dunno:

The new 3 series has a hard top convertible so it seems BMW may be moving away from this school of thought.
