I've been into the whole cruise/modded car scene for sometime now and after finishing my previous project (Fiat Bravo) decided it was time for a change...I was originally looking for a Jap car as many modders do, but as soon as I saw the Bimmer instantly fell in love.

Apologies for not having a better one of the install, just not got round to it and with the dark nights now approaching it makes it that much harder as I'm at work throughout the day so don't really get chance.

Anyway there you have it , my ride :)

*goes to have a look round the site*

So are both of those exhaust cannons functional?

How did you get the piping around the spare tire well? Pics?

I honestly don't like it. Not for the fact that he mimicing a honda... cause its his car he can do whatever he wants.... but i just think its hideous. Too much of a good thing buddy.

This is strictly from an appearance perspective. I think its the bumpers both front and back. And those 2 muffles just don't look the part. And the car looks like its itching to get on a runway, think that spoiler is a bit too much.

I not hating man... i just don't like it.

Cheers for the comments guys and constructive critism, appreciate it's not going to be to everyones liking...personally I love it. Each to their own and that it's what makes life interesting.

Who knows I may take some of your advice on board as I progress the car further :)

BeRzErKaS, yes both the cannons are functional. The well had to be cut and re-welded in order to make space for the piping. Not got any pics at this moment in time but can get them.

Not that keen on the front end treatment
Spoiler is ok for an F1 car but on your car people will think you're a hoon
Not sure about the back lower part
Wheels ok but have seen hornier ones (mine)
Nice color

I hate it when people knock my ride so am not going to do it with yours mate

As long as you like it then that is all that matters but a car like that will attract a lot of criticism on this site matey

Something we would expect to see at Trax or Max power, not a bimmerfest meeting hehehe

Nice reg number!

Cheers Pirate,

Had a feeling it wouldn't fit in too well on Bimmer Fest...like you said it's something you'd expect to see at shows and not something your average BMW driver would consider doing or like.

Thats exactly what it is though a show car, was styled in this way for that particular reason, to attend such shows. Ahhhh well, I'm enjoying my time on the site so far and the boards are fountain of knowledge so well worth signing up even if I am the 'odd one out' ;)

We are glad to have ANYONE on here (except drug dealers.......) and it is nice to see something a little different on the fest!

As you will see, i am not a BMW purist myself and have made amendments to by beloved Bimmer too. Some people like it to be 100% original (like omnicron) and some, like yourself, make lots of modifications. Both are perfectly justified ways of thinking and we are not here to judge.

I like the setup of your boot (trunk) though, i had some new ICE put in my car at the weekend....not as much as that though hehehe

Let me just say that, if I were cruising down the highway in a work car, I think I would i would have to pull you over.

I am sure there is a ticket in the book for bad taste.

Sorry bloke, just a personal opinion.

I guess if you like it..................

I think its sacrilige, but once again, personal opinion

some people cant help themselves. they feel compelled to make comments.

"not to my taste, but if you like it that is cool" - ok comment

"I am sure there is a ticket in the book for bad taste" - Just being a tit

Oh well, guess that is the nature of forums. people can be obtuce cos they are 10,000 miles away!

Free speach and all that!

Oh and about the comments. I don't think it is harsh to criticise a car.... and specifically state what you dislike about it. When you put something up on a public forum it is open to scrutiny.

There is however taking it too far. That is when you go into personal attacks. So far i think everybody has shown a clean pair of hands.

+1 it is forum where everyone can express their opinion. When you post pictures you subject yourself to scrutiny, but it is usually in good taste. If you like your car:thumbup: - that is all that matters! :)

oh blimey, are we still on about cricket?

I will hold my hands up and say i am not a big sports fan....except motor-racing that is.

Have a great Christmas Mr/Mrs Conehead. If you run into Shane Warne, tell him not to retire. i have watch a total of 3 hours coverage of cricket in my life but i still know that bloke is amazing!

Thanks Bobkitten...homies for life (i REALLY need to stop playing GTA SA)

Drive-By Ash...is that spoiler based on a Subaru P1 spoiler??

I agree, but i just dont want new members to think we are a bunch of w*nkers (cos none of us are).

The reason i post here so much as the people are really nice and dont flame you for anything

Anywho, i didn't mean to start anything with anyone, was just expressing an opinion

I'd say it's more like that of an Alfa 156, with a hint of Impreza.

Probelm is when they are that big is that the downforce created is more turbulent....guess it is just for show!

Well.

Not my taste at all, years ago yes but not so much now i'm liking some of it, the colour i like the rims too.

bumpers for me are a no and the spoiler thats just wrong ( sorry )

BUT as you've said it is to your taste and thats what matters, we could all pretend to like it and then secretly think omfg what does it look like so its good people write what they think of it.

a few things.

the police must love you.

parking it must be a right pain in the ass.

i hope you never break down and call for a low loader cos you'll be crying cos it won't go on.

OMG ANOTHER ENGLISH BLOKE WOOHOO

drive-by ash

just had another look at your car

still not sure about the front treatment
rear spoiler could be 4" lower
rear mufflers would be better off placed further forward so all you could see would be the fat pipes (do you need those big boxes?)

thats only my taste showing through but if i saw your car in the rear view mirror i'd have to move over and change my underpants.

how does it perform?

hmmm... its too modified...popular among civic folks...

if i were u. i'd get rid of: front bumber, rear bumper, that windshield sticekr, that gigantic wing, the extra exhaust! whats up with that? you lose some "backforce" bc of that.
put M body kit.

put the BMW logo back on the rear. dont think about putting an //M badge on the car:p

then u'll be fine.

I think that its a pretty nice car other than the rear end.. uterly despise the spoiler. I also believe that the rear bumper is going to haunt my dreams, and those exausts just don't suit the car at all. The drive-by banner is rather tacky also.
