Does it cost anything to be in Bimmerfest? If so, how much?

It seems like it was $10 or less last year.

Yeah, I think it was $10 per car last year (when it was also held @ the Fairgrounds)...but I remember getting some free quick detailer & two raffle tickets (if you wanted to buy more raffle tickets, i think they were $5 each).

I think it was $5, but I only had a $20...so it cost me $20:cry: oh well, it was sooo worth it though!!! even though I didn't win anything...i swear that raffle was rigged :D

anywhoo, i think its on May 7th? either way, i'm planning on borrowing an HD camcorder from work and bringing my SLR to shoot some good pics this year!

Hope to see you there!

There are often Classics that also happen to be for sale at Bimmerfest...

By the way Culpy, I am keeping an eye out for you (watching local ads plus cars on
the street).

I'll take a Rip Curl "E-Bomb" 3/2 in size "LS"...

Since you got raffle tickets for the cost of admission does that mean that the funds were donated to the charity as well?

not sure...I think at least most of that $10 went towards the fairground's rental fee (which, from what i've heard, was not cheap). Plus, it probably encouraged more sponsers/companies to participate & give away more parts in the raffle since they didn't have to shoulder the grunt of the fairground's fee (like in '04).

I had a similar hesitation my first time going to Bimmerfest. I had a stock '97 540i and the last 2 times I have gone I have taken my stock '01 330Ci. If you park on the showgrounds you are not entered in any kind of show. There is a placard you can print out soon that you can list your mods and enter the different show events but it's not required.

Just park on-site with the rest of us, you will see lots of great cars and meet the owners. You don't need to have a BMW either although you usually get sent to the other section of parking to the left of the gate.

Just go and have lots of fun looking at what others have and see what vendors are offering. Its lots of fun.

Nope. I showed up in a Ford rental car. They have parking for BMW's and parking for ugly cars. :)

i believe they normally open the gates @ 9am...just don't show up too late, because the lot did fill up this past year.

Ya last year I arrived at 9 on the dot and it was about half or more full already. Try arriving just before 9 at the latest but if you get there not much after 9 you should still be good.

Bring a jacket and maybe warm weather clothing just in case. Each time I went it was either cold in the morning then rather warm later on or last year was cold all day with some light rain. It is a few miles from the actual coast and at the base of some big hills so the weather is unstable in that area is the only thing you need to plan for.
