What is the car you would never wanna buy?
I mean the ugliest, most boring, worst engineered, just complete opposite of BMW...

EDIT:

My company bought one of these two months ago and I had to drive it last week.

http://www.honda.it/news/jazzms.jpg

Yuck! I haven't driven a FW car in ages. I thought the rubber bands in the engine would snap. The steering is awful, handling non-existent. Overall, a big fat :thumbdwn:

Once again reaffirming my desire to NEVER own a 1) Japanese car, 2) a FW Japanese car, and 3) an automatic, FW Japanese car.

'Nuff said.

Sorry, yes, your answers are correct.

You win my autographed copy of "The Joshua Tree" CD. Or would you prefer "Rattle and Hum"?

I have recently lost complete interest in that band for some reason ...

I love it, the racing version specs:

Engine Details: 1.1 litre, 2-stroke, advanced cycle 2-cylinder engine. Developing 14 b.h.p, at 2500 r.p.m

Performance 0-100 km/h: 21 seconds. Top speed: 112km/h

Fuel Consumption: 7.6 litres/100km

The street version probably has a 0-100 km/h time of, oh say, Tuesday.

Hehehehehe.

I used drive those Lada's (2101 (1.2L), 2105(1.3L) and finally 2121 (4x4 Niva/1.6L). Considering these cars had no power, they were still fun to toss around (especially in the winter :D) - RWD with poor suspension.

But for Russia back in the 70-80's those cars were OK.

As for what new car I would never buy:

The new butt-ugly US-version Camry and Accord. Throw in the new 7 series too.

This automobile is responsible for the increasing air pollution, the severity of injuries in accidents, higher insurance rates, and generally making the roads more unpleasant and hazardous for the car driving population.

It is nothing like the A Class. It represents a Japanese car well because it has no taste or imigination put into it -- MY opinion. The Opel Astra, although made in either Germany or the UK (Vauxhall) is a ****ty GMC product. I have no clue what a VW Fox is.

Yup. And it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. It feels a lot like a non-SP E46.

CD-55 and Clyde were in the car with me during my Buick drive. I said it then and I still believe it now.

TD,
Maybe we drove two different models, I can't really tell them apart, but the car I drove had terrible overbosted steering, I had no idea what the front wheels were doing, except maybe that they were squeeling and the body roll was way more than non-SP E46. It was changing direction with hesitation and felt like driving a big boat. The only positive thing was its quite peppy engine tough I wouldn't call it smooth.

Honestly, it is one of the ugliest things I have even seen produced. SUV's are horrible looking to start with, but this one sets an almost new low. I find the RX300, X5, QX4, and MDX all attractive for what they are. But that thing is just scary. :dunno:

I dunno, it really has to do with the fact that I hate the front and back of every Volvo made in the past 25 years. Take that and bloat it up into a 2-ton SUV and you have the recipe to make me sick to the stomach.

Not really, the car only had a 114hp 4banger. No tach, but the speedo did wander around on the highway

How about some high-rev clutch drops with the wheel turned? I know you did it, Nate. :D

I got my oversteer fix in the 533i, which hung the tail out around every turn...

Heh, I was out in the rain with the 325is today. Man, I love these old Bimmers. I really think when I have the money, I will keep one E30 as a classic, and take it out on sunny weekends. Incredible to drive...

Actually, yes. And the diesel engine option that they offer (something like 500 Nm of torque) sounds rather appealing!

The XC90 doesn't really look that much different that the Audi Allrad or All Road or whatever it is called.

If the X3 is going to look like the picture TD posted, then I would take either the Audi or the Vulva over the X3 any day!

And, per the post there, that is a pic of the new X3.

No it isn't. That pic is CGI and has nothing to do with the final model.

I just test drove the XC-90 a few days ago and in black I think it looks good . . . I noticed though in other colors the moldings and front facia stick out a little because they are not body colored and for some reason Vovo refuses to modernize there cars with body colored moldings and what makes it look worse then the E46 sedan moldings is that Volvo moldings are extra wide :yikes:

The interior was nice and it was a great SUV . . . but also, keep in mind I like SUV's and don't sure the 'hate SUV' thing that seems to go on around here.

I used to drive an 82 Volvo 240DL wagon. Even w/ its 114 hp 4 banger, I found it easier to induce oversteer than in my e46! Probably due to the archaic live rear axle suspension--but fun nonetheless!

I kind of liked those old Volvos-- i think they still look good--but I never really warmed up to the 700/900 and v70/90s.
