I just purchased the aluminum running board kit for our 2007 X3 but there are no installation instructions. Does anyone have instructions on how to install this kit? Any help would be much appreciated.

Was it $550 or did you find it cheaper? My wife wants them but I know its almost purely cosmetic.

Pacific BMW sells the kit for less than $550. The problem is that the kit is packaged in a very large box so the shipping charges might be more than the cost savings.

Check http://x3world.com/ - I think I've seen them there.

You can also ask your local BMW dealer to print out a set of instructions. I've done this several times...

And to the previous poster who thinks the alu boards are purely cosmetic, think again. They are the only running board option that will support your full weight. Of course you can open the door and step on the door sill, but you cannot do that while washing your car, for example... :dunno:

I did as you suggested and went to the dealer the other day to get the instructions. I will post some pictures after the running boards have been installed.

Can you also post the instructions?
