I'm curious if anyone has the BMW Clear Protective Covering installed on the front of their X3. I'm currently waiting for my X3 and researching.

I live in an area with lots of road construction (which will continue for the next 2 years), and the rock chips have been excessive. The front of my E46 is pretty beat up and I'm going to have to spend some money on it after this winter.

I'm getting Titanium Silver, will it look bad from other's experience?

Thanks for any feedback.

I highly recommend clear bras. I had it put on my black M3 and silver s4. it is more visible on the silver, but I know its there. I have had people check out the car and didnt notice it until I pointed it out. soory I dont know if they make the x3 kit. either way unless you are very experienced with decals I would not install one myself. many people ruin thier first kit and ends up costing more.

BMW is offering it as a dealer installed option on the 2007 X3. Not too expensive also. I'm thinking of going that way. As a BMW accessory, not an issue on my lease. I'd rather prevent as many rock chips as possible, otherwise I'm going to have to spend some money when I return the lease.

Just had my Titanium Silver done with VentureShield by Kris Christiansen in North Vancouver
He doesn't like 3M. VentureTape comes with a life-time warranty against discoloration.
Check out Kris's site
tintcentre.com

Bit out of your way but worth a web visit and give you more info.

Cheers
