My great old '93 525i just drove out of my driveway for the last time. The first guy that looked at it bought it. :bawling: :bawling:

Only five days since TD prompted me to write a classified ad on bimmerfest to when I got cash for it. The autotrader.com ad is what sold it for me.

:bawling: :bawling:

I am BMW-less.

Where is my new 330i? I have a feeling it would make me feel better right about now. :tsk:

That was really a beautiful 525 you owned. PhilH, you took really good care of it... someone bought one heck of nice car.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you sell it for?

$8,600

I had started at $9,500 five days ago, but I dropped it to an asking price of $8,900 after when I put the ad up on autotrader. KBB private party sale value for my car, even with "premium wheels" and in excellent condition is $7,895. Edmunds.com pricing for my car in outstanding condition is $7,976.

However, the car is built like a tank and will be running around for the next 10 years easy. It still drives like a $40,000 car, and with the Dinan suspension is better than stock.

What a great car.

I hope I love my 330i as much.

It's sitting at the port in Bremerhaven Germany, right where it's been since the 23rd of December. It shouldn't be much longer until it gets put on a ship, so maybe I'll have it in about three weeks. :dunno:

I'm going to have my brother's '95 Accord LX automatic for the next two weeks while he's out of town. I'll be sure to appreciate the 330 even more since I'll be without a BMW for a few weeks.

I had been kicking the idea around of buying your 525 for the last few days. I Just love those e34s so much-- but I couldn't really justify parting w/ 10k at this point.

You won't get that built like a tank feeling as much in your e46-- but you'll probably find it more fun to drive...

Aaaaah, the anticipation... It's exciting - it gives you something to look forward to. Never understood the people that are tortured by the wait. My only problem with the 7-week wait was that a week before I picked up the car, I started getting so excited about it, I could not focus on anything else for more than a few minutes. Congrats on the sale - it sound like you did great!
