I am selling my M3 e46 with competition package for a 650i coupe. I was curious (in case my brain explodes and I look at the M6) does the M6 have a less harsh ride as the M3? This is what I finally got tired of on my car.... road noise and rough ride.
Thanks,
Ken

My E46 M3 Cab was much more harsh than the M6.....no even close.
BUT....if you turn on the EDC to full stiff, it feels like the M3.
Hey Holmes, funny seeing you here :)

Not even close. If I switch to "full stiff", it is like a luxury car compared to my M3 coupe.

Shows how much flex there is on a cab.

Very true on the E46 Cab..... I can't tell you how scary the car is in a high speed curve (freeway exit) when you get a bump in the middle.... Totally different sensation in the M6 coupe and the E46 M3 Coupe

while on the topic how harsh of the m3 cab vs the coupe? I know the coupe handles better etc but would people here say that the vert is that much of a rough ride?
(I have a vert, I have never driven the coupe)

My M6 cabriolet is actually better riding than was my 650i cabriolet. I think the reason is mostly the tyres. But I don't think that answers your question. The cabriolet is several hundred pounds heavier than the M6 coupe. I suspect it rides a bit better but doesn't handle quite as well.
