We can meet at the scenic overlook on I295 Northbound, and then from there go down Route 29 and cross over into PA in Lambertville, and into New Hope and follow the River back down to the bridge at Washington's Crossing. Or we could take a real long drive up 29 all the way to the Delaware Water Gap...obviously taking other roads as well, and also driving up Old Mine Road. You guys will have to let me know, and I will make the maps and stuff for those who need it. I would like it to be a little warmer, and I would like to have my rims and suspension by then. Maybe late February or March. We'll see how the weather shapes up. I would love to have people from PA, DE, NY whatever. As many people as we can get would be cool. I think the scenic overlook is a good meeting point though. It's around Mile marker 57 - 59 northbound I think. Anyway, let me know your thoughts!

Ok, I know it's still early, but this is the list so far of possible people. Tomorrow 1/20/07 I am driving up to the Scenic Overlook to scope it out, and see how many cars can actually park there. If it's only like 40 spaces we should move it somewhere else. My alternative plan was to meet at Washington Crossing State Park in NJ and meet there. I will scope out both spots. I am still hoping the Overlook can fit us because the drive down Route 29 through Trenton and all is awesome. Anyway, I finalized the date, and I came up with March 31st, which is the last saturday of March. Hopefully the weather is decent. If it rains, we'll reschedule it, but it's 3/31/07 for now. That's it for tonight! I'll update you all tomorrow on my findings!

Here is the latest update. Well, the scenic overlook is out because there are only 10-15 spaces there. So, I drove around and found "Lamberton Park" in Trenton, which is right next to the Trenton Thunder Stadium. It should easily hold us all, and I think it's a good starting point. I drove the route today up Route 29 North into Lambertville and over the bridge into New Hope and then back down Route 32 South, then followed the Taylorsville Road / Route 32 South Detour and then turned left onto Washington Crossing Road, and over the Bridge into NJ. Then I turned into Washington Crossing State Park. It was about a 45 - 60 minute drive from Lamberton Park. Although, like I said before, I would love to take the drive all the way up to the Delaware Water Gap Park and Old Mine Road, and end at High Point State Park, but we can finalize that later. That's all for now.

Below is a picture of where Lamberton Park is.

THE DATE IS MARCH 31st WHICH IS A SATURDAY.

The longer drive would take about 3 - 3 1/2 hours and cover approximately 120 miles from the park, but that's up to the polls. We'll see I guess. I'll probably do it no matter what.

So as of now we have a possibility of 48 cars so far.

Like someone said, we need walkie talkies and maps, and maybe split into groups of like 10 and have 2 walkie talkies per group for front car and rear car. Anyway, we have plenty of time to plan everything.

Are you sure this a good route considering the donut eaters cruise this route often? You know they are haters and would gladly pull anyone of us over if we crack a smile.:dunno:

Anyway, this sounds good. I will keep my eyes open on this thread.

After having some thought, tou're going to have to count me out from the meet. Trenton, from me is around 1.5 hours so it just isn't feasable.

Let me guys know if you drive up to the Delaware Water Gap. I'm about 25 minutes away, and could easily hop onto 80W from where I live (exit 47 I think) to meet the pack.

Ok guys, here's the deal. I think we are just going to stick with meeting in Trenton at Lamberton Park. Then just go up 29N to Lambertville into New Hope and then down 32S to Washington Crossing road and then back over to NJ and then finish up at Washington Crossing State Park in NJ. How does everyone like that. Maybe another time we can start further north for the Delaware Water Gap run. It's better just to relax for a while at Lamberton Park for like an hour or so, and then take the hour or less cruise. That is my executive decision. PM me so I can re-create the list. Thanks!

Here is my final decision on the route. I promise. I say we take Route 29N all the way to Frenchtown, NJ make a left onto bridge street and go into PA. Take River Road / 32S all the way to Washington Crossing, and then back into NJ to Washington Crossing State Park. It's about a 50-60 mile run. 30 miles to Frenchtown from Trenton, and then to Washington Crossing State Park. Then everyone can get directions home from there. FINALIZED ROUTE!

Beware of the police in the vicinity of Frenchtown, NJ. They can be a pain, very little tolerance, and have no sense of humor. I grew up in Flemington, NJ only 12 miles east of Frenchtown. I know quite a few friends that were caught in traps, in the area.

The final date is March 31st, and the rain date would be April 14th, so we don't conflict with Easter weekend in case people have plans. As for the time, it has not been decided yet.

I was also thinking of changing the end destination to Oxford Valley Mall instead of Washington Crossing Park in NJ. I don't think it'll hold anywhere near as many cars as we will have. It's not really that far from where we were going to end anyway. Plus we can get food and stuff there after the meet. It's also an easier destination to leave from. Anyway, let me know what you guys think about that change.

Oxford Valley is a good idea. There are several large lots there, either at the main mall or side plazas. We will have plenty of room to spread out.

Ok, here's an update. I drove up to Trenton today to check out the parking lot. There is about 200-250 spaces, so we should be good. Also, I drove the route and it took about an hour and 45 minutes. Let me know what you guys think. It's about a 60 mile ride total from Trenton to Frenchtown, and then to Oxford Valley Mall. I could shorten it a little. Otherwise everything was cool. We do need to be careful with our speed in some spots though. I saw about 8 cops on the whole drive scattered around. So we shouldn't be doing any excessive speeding in 25-35 MPH zones. That's were they seem to be at mostly. Anyway, let me know what you guys think about the length. It's cool with me, but the majority rules. I need to finalize plans by March 16th. I am trying to make a flier and make directions for the run. Anyway, let me know what you think. Thanks!

I wouldn’t mind cruising with you all. However, I would need a time and place for a meeting point. I'd be coming from 50 miles west of Harrisburg, so I'm not familiar with the area you are describing.
