I'm in. Let see if Robsa and Pintnight will join in again. How about the TX delegation? Flying or driving? I'm flying in.

If I'm not in a middle eastern country at the time I'll be there.

I am thinking flying. With the price of gas, its probably cheaper!

Which is preferred, going as a TX delegation or forming an Off-Topic delegation? This is almost politics. BTW just a reminder. Bring your own food and beverage. The stuff they serve at the fairground isn't worth eating, and the lines are long.

About 8 of us left for lunch last year and returned for the afternoon.

Have you driven I-10 between San Antonio and El Paso? At least the posted speed limit is 80 now.
Actually, if you don't want to display your car, it's cheaper to fly SWA to LAX and get a car.

I drove that about 4 weeks ago. It was looooooong. It took me 14 hours to get from San Antonio to Phoenix. Phoenix to LA was a breeze.

I love to drive especially if I am in a BMW. I drove the SA to El paso trip in just under 6 hours last year and am trying to break that record this year. There were absolutely no law the entire trip until I came to El paso. I wouldn't even dream of going without my baby. My car loves long trips. Avg mpg was close to 40. At an even 80mph probably would have gotten 40mpg. I am in it for the adventure of the trip and then the wonderment of Bimmerfest. I also plan to do some sightseeing.
