My 1995 325i has a definite slow coolant leak, I am sure of that, but is there another problem if while I am in idle, my windshield fogs up like crazy from this visible white smoke. It smells like coolant in my car, and I feel like it's burning coolant thats fogging up the windshield, but I'm not positive. What's the problem....is there anything to worry about until I get the leak fixed? :dunno:

Sounds like a leaking heater core..which is located in the dash. Check the passenger side floor and see if its wet/damp . A coolant pressure test will pressurize the system and allow you to find the source of the leak. Also..fix this asap and dont let it overheat or you'll have alot more problems(i.e blown headgasket, cracked head, etc.)

Did you get a quote on that!?
I would call around and
1. make sure the people know how involved the job is.
2. get the best price you can.

my boyfriend is a bmw salesman, and he gets a discount - i pay base price...which is pretty sweet! so, with bmw, i know i'm getting the best deal, but thanks for your concern!

That is a bonus!
I just wanted to make sure you knew it could be $1200 bucks to fix. if your deal is less than 8-900 you could not beat it anywhere else...
