View Full Version : The Sumitomo HTR+ is the best all season I have yet to drive in light snow.

It stays planted, ABS almost never engages, and it accelerates hard! I've had to put some effort into it to get the tail to come around. :)

I've hit 6500 RPMs a number of times in first with hardly any slippage. (on 1 inch of snow.) I'm looking forward to driving when the snow gets deeper.

I agree. Last time, it snowed, I tested it out and they were great.

I'm blown away by the snow traction of the 205/55/16 ContiTouring's on my loaner. The huge snowfall came down on Friday morning, right when I got the car. Great I thought, I'm gonna be all over the place. Not so. The grip is entirely within reason, if not *quite* as good as my Pirelli Snowsports.

Overall, this type of tire has come quite a long way over the years.

It's stuff made in Colombia. Los Angeles used to run on it.
