Just picked it up this morning. So far, I'm extremely happy with it. I keep getting the urge to go drive it!
Previous thread with purchase/options info (http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=183934)

Here's a few pics, while it's still clean. That won't last for long....

So, how is she in the snow?

Thanks.

We only have snow covering the driveway and in some parking lots. So, I haven't really "driven" it on snowy roads yet. Seemed to do fine in the driveway.
It has Pirelli Scorpian XTR tires, which I hear/read are one of the better of the 3(?) choices.

Other impressions from a quick drive:
- This thing is really solid and quiet. I'm impressed. And the speed is amazingly deceptive. Cruising at 65 feels like 40.
- The stock stereo is quite good for what it is. I didn't get the upgraded stereo, and it easily blows away the HK upgraded stereo in my M3.
- The big sunroof is great! I really like all the light it lets in.
- Engine has plenty of power. And the transmission is doing a great job so far. I haven't had an automatic in 12 years.

Nice ride. Now go get it dirty! :D

What's with the 'Ganley' badge? Take it off for a clean look. License plate frames with the dealer's name is as far as I'd go, but I'd take that off too. :)

Ya, the Ganley badge on the rear was a kick in the crotch to me as well. I hate that stuff.

Hairdryer and dental floss to remove?

My dealer asked me if they could put a dealer sticker on --of course I said no and he did not mount the front licence plate either--so no holes in the bumper--I devised a way to mount with stainless steel studs inside the lower grill opening. The plate and mount remain in the rear luggage cubby. I replaced the dealer licence frame with a nice polished stainless frame with SS screws and snap on chromed screw covers.

I've taken the front plates off all my cars except for the Thunderbird which has it's original California plates.

I've been stopped for speeding several times (have radar now) and on two occasions recieved warnings and a mechanical for no plates instead being ticketed for speed. It gives them a ticket to write, without throwing the book at you.

17 degrees F right now. I don't believe we've been above 20 for almost 2 weeks or so. Coldest day was -7 F. The Subaru didn't like it at all. We'll see how the X3 does....

Nice for sure but how is the inside?

I like it. The controls and layout are very similiar to my M3.
The only options I got were heated front seats, heated steering wheel, and privacy glass.
I have no complaints with the Leatherette so far. The heated seats and steering wheel are great! I can barely tell there's any tint on the windows...probably should've passed on that option.
I would've really like to have the sport seats, but the normal ones are more than adequate.

Congrats on the new X3! Looks great... but I'ma bit biased as I ordered a SG one myslef! :D . I seriously considered the black interior as well... but went with Tobacco leather at the last minute.

car looks great!

If you are not far from the dealer just take it back and tell them to take off that ugly dealer badge, I am sure they have lots of practice taking those badges of their cars!

I am new to the forum, and enjoy it a great deal. I have a question? How dis you download the pictures of your new X3 on your posted thread. When I try using the attachment feature all I get are thumbnails?

His pictures are hosted somewhere else. Right click and then properties and you see this:

With any hosted image you can then show it on the page by putting it in between:

Mike,

Great looking car! We almost went for the SG, but decided to stay with Alpine/beige combo. Just ordered today. Glad to see you are putting it to good use already in the snow.

Very nice X3! I really love the new kidney grill on the 2007s. I wish I had that on mine! :)
