We are now carrying the G2 Caliper Paint System. Unlike others selling it for $50 or more, I am offering it to all Bimmerfest Members for $35.00 per kit plus shipping. I only keep stock of certain colors but can get any of the eight available upon request. I keep Red, Black, Blue, and Silver in stock and ready to ship. The other colors available are Purple, Green, Yellow and White.

I'm surprised you keep blue in stock. I figured yellow would be more popular. :dunno:
I used this system last spring, and it works great. No complaints at all. I am a perfectionist, so it took me about 2 hours of actual work, but 6 hours total time, with the waiting for the first coat to dry. Very easy, great instructions.
I paid $49 Canadian, which is about the same price.
Here's a pic of the results:

Hope the review helped.
PLease email me I am interested in the black and BLUE. thanks Jon

No problem, thank you!
How was the packaging? I was a bit nervous about it (Yours is the first kit I sold)...maybe I just heard the paint sloshin' around.

For a good amount of time. Most likely for good, but if it changes I'll take care of you.

This still available? I'm interested in red and silver. If I went with red and then eventually painted it back silver would I need to sand off the red first?
Thanks

Still available. No idea what the process is for repainting, whether it has to be removed or if you just go over it :dunno: . I would imagine that it is a major PITA to remove the paint once it is on. To be honest, removing the paint is not something I would want to do.

Andy,
Please put me down for 1 'silver' kit. I left a message on your machine this morning. Thanks.

Do you have any pics of calipers painted with the silver paint you are offering? Mine are rusting and I just want to make them look 'new' again - nothing flashy. :dunno:
Thanks!

Actually the paint does not "bond" to the metal material, so it isn't TOO hard to remove it. It's a hard lacquer type paint, so light chizeling will remove the paint.
I'm actually contemplating getting another set because my original FoliaTec are flaking off...Too much hardening compound I guess.

Hey Andy, can Jon bring a "Black" kit when he comes out west.
Doug ( in_d_haus) has sent me his, bacause I need it fast, so the one Jon brings, I will give back to Doug at Bimmerfest.
If he can't bring it, please let me know. :)

Hey Andy, or anyone else...what is the best process or timing to do this when installing new rotors and pads? I need to fix my fronts soon and want to do this but don't want to go through unnecessry hassle of remove-paint-install-remove-install rotors, etc.
Just thought I would ask since this will be happening soon...and has anyone tried using the silver for minor touchup on OEM painted rims?:dunno:

I would do all at once. the G2 dries in a few hours but fully hardens in 24 hours. Suggestion would be to remove calipers (to do the rotors) and paint the calipers. Then install new rotors (and pads?) once the calipers are dry.

Andy,
Can you tell me (again) who I should be looking for at BimmerFest to purchase my (silver) kit?
Thanks,

I'm interested in the silver kit. Was contemplating having my calipers chromed out but may be too much bling. Do I just call the # or do I have to wait? Thanks.

You should paint rotor hats and vents too. (http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17079&highlight=rotors)

Hint: sarcasm. This was a potload of work. Might not be worth the effort in hindsight.

Considering I go through a set of rotors a year it wouldn't be worth it....I could get a display set for shows...

If you do them when they are new it wouldn't be too difficult. That Eastwood paint sorta kicks ass.
