No, not really. I tow a CAMPER with mine, and with the 3.0 and 5-speed manual, it beats most other cars off the line - towing the trailer.

You have to keep your revs up if you want acceleration. The BMW six is a very robust engine (more so than the V-8s) and mated to a manual tranny, is a reliable power train.

Now if they can only make the electronics and switchgear as reliable....
