Jon, I saw some pictures you posted around a month ago of a Sterling/Beige/Beige Z4, you don't happen to have any more pictures of that same car or one like it. I am thinking about ordering the same combination. Thanks in advance

Thanks anyway, I can't decide between the beige or black top, definitely beige leather though.

Matthew, "a.k.a. mgs333" - does the 333 represent
your 2003 330Ci model code (0333), or some other lucky
number??

were you one of the guys who was betting that i'll end up getting an infiniti g35 coupe or something? :p :D

yes, the M stands for manual...

and the "mgs333"... that's been my online moniker for quite some time.. mgs are my initials and 3 is my favorite number, so why not have 3 of 3's... :)

What a coincidence, then, that your model code is 333!

Hey Matthew,

I'm not totally sure (I was off all weekend), but it should
be done, or close to it by now...

:D

You'll be picking her up in less than a month, right?

Are you getting excited yet, or what???

Matthew330Ci
02-02-2003, 11:24 PM
yup! Feb 27 it is.

i'm going crazy trying to plan the trip right now, i'm slowly getting more excited as the day draws closer, it still doesn't seem quite 'real' to me yet, it still seems like kinda far away.. which is good, better than going crazy. :D

hi jon,

i came home to find a big envelope from bmwna. :D and got the cool pen!! :D

however, i noticed it was sent to my old address in **. can you make sure my address is updated over at bmw (as well as bmwfs)? or is it better if i contact them myself?

Jon Shafer
02-05-2003, 08:28 PM
The documents that you just signed and returned
had the correct address, right?

Matthew330Ci
02-05-2003, 08:42 PM
actually, no. i asked franco about it and he said just go ahead and sign it the way it is, and that he would change the address later. :dunno:

Jon Shafer
02-05-2003, 11:02 PM
When we drew up the lease agreement he said that we were
using your new address for that. The original ED Purchase order
was using your old address, right?

I think that I am getting an ulcer...

:p

Matthew330Ci
02-05-2003, 11:12 PM
you're right. i was confusing the 2. i just looked at the copy of all the docs (not the p.o) and they had the correct address.

i didn't even see this.. it was buried amongst all the other bimmerfest threads.. :D well, you saw my report about my trip in the ED forum. :)

so jon, my car is on the pegasus leader set to dock on 4/7, how long does it usually take for cutter to get the car once it lands?

You should (dang I hope!) be looking at a "BimmerFest
Delivery"...

We will need a little bit of luck to get it here by the 12th!

:D

Jon Shafer

Well, it didn't arrive in time for a "Bimmerfest Delivery", but
Matthew final took final delivery of his 330Ci yesterday...

:-)))

It was a long journey that began last September, and took
him to Europe.

His baby is finally home...

thank you jon and franco for the wonderful experience. your patience for my many, many questions and changes is very appreciated.

the drive home was great for the first hour along the coast with light traffic, but the next 2.5 hours was stuck in L.A. stop-and-go traffic.

i'll post my pics when i have time later..

I opened the door to my garage as soon as I got up this morning and I can't believe it's actually HERE!!!!! :D

yes, it was very nice today! however, i was working on a project all day until 9PM today. and didn't even get to sit in the car. (took the civic out)

my pics are all pretty much the same as yours.. except with less compression. so the alpine white shines in all its glory :D

last one. i'll be sure to drive it tomorrow (today really..)

Matthew330Ci
04-27-2003, 01:57 AM
ok, i lied. this is what the latter 2.5 hours of my drive home was like. :tsk:

for those of you who want to know (M. Wong for one) the vignettes (toll stickers for the autobahn in austria and switzerland) were removed. :( now the thing is the chip in my windshield that i got while driving in europe is gone. so either:

1) the vpc replaced the windshield
2) or the vpc repaired the windshield and took off the vignettes

would have been nice to have them as mementos of my trip but oh well, the car is not a bad souvenir itself. :D

cruztopless

Very nice Matthew!

One question - did you inform the drop off center of the chip? I'm just curious if they go through the car to identify rock chips, door dings, etc. or if I will need to make sure to identify these things.

Thanks.

thanks everyone.

cruztopless, i was in a rush to get to harms office in munich and didn't even think about the windshield chip, but they did do a quick look around and noted the condition of the car on this sheet, they noted that it was 'dirty' but 'normal dirty' instead of 'excessive dirty'

it'd be a good idea to let them know of any damages, even though i think the vpc will do a thorough check anyway.

btw, Jon, i forgot to tell you that I wanted the clown nose activated. darn. i wonder if the local dealers here will do it for me and how much...

I thought that the ED licence plate was taken away by customs. I guess that's not the case.

She's a beauty. Congrats Matthew330CiM. White looks so much better on E46s that E39s.
